الولايات المتحدة والعراق: بين الدعم الدولي والوصاية السياسية
يُثمّن المجلس الوطني للمعارضة العراقية الدعم الدولي الذي قدمته الولايات المتحدة للشعب العراقي، لكنه يُعارض أي شكل من أشكال الوصاية أو فرض الإرادة السياسية على القرار العراقي.
نُريد شراكة لا وصاية، تعاونًا لا توجيهًا، احترامًا لا إملاء.

The Council opposes any form of guardianship or imposition of political will on Iraq’s sovereign decisions.

تقدير للدور الدولي في دعم استقلال العراق وتعزيز سيادته
يعبّر المجلس الوطني للمعارضة العراقية عن تقديره العميق للدور الفعّال الذي قامت به الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في ظل حكم الرئيس الامريكي الشجاع السيد دونالد ترامب في دعم الشعب العراقي خلال المراحل المفصلية التي مرّ بها البلد منذ عام 2020 حتى الان، ولا سيما في مواجهة الهيمنة الايرانية والخارجية والتصدي للميليشيات الايرانية التي عطّلت مؤسسات الدولة وأضعفت سيادتها.
لقد شكّل الدعم الأمريكي عنصرًا مهمًا في تمكين العراقيين من الدفاع عن وطنهم واستعادة جزء من قدرتهم على مواجهة النفوذ غير المشروع الذي حاول أن يفرض نفسه على القرار الوطني. وقد ساهم هذا الدعم في تعزيز فرص الاستقرار، وفتح الباب أمام العراقيين لاستعادة دولتهم وبناء مؤسساتهم على أسس وطنية خالصة.
ويرى المجلس الوطني للمعارضة العراقية أن استمرار التعاون الدولي، وفي مقدمته التعاون مع الولايات المتحدة، يمثل خطوة أساسية نحو ترسيخ سيادة العراق ومنع أي قوة خارجية من التحكم بمصيره. فالعراق بحاجة إلى شراكات دولية صادقة تدعم مشروع الدولة الواحدة، وتساعد في بناء مؤسسات قوية قادرة على حماية الشعب وفرض القانون.
ويؤكد المجلس أن المرحلة المقبلة تتطلب تعزيز هذا التعاون وتطويره بما يخدم مصلحة العراق العليا، ويضمن استقلاله، ويعيد له مكانته الطبيعية في المنطقة والعالم. كما يشدد على أهمية الاعتراف بالدور الوطني للمجلس باعتباره إطارًا يسعى إلى تمثيل تطلعات العراقيين نحو دولة مستقلة، موحدة، وخالية من هيمنة السلاح غير الشرعي.
إن العراق يقف اليوم أمام فرصة تاريخية لاستعادة سيادته الكاملة، وهذه الفرصة لا يمكن أن تتحقق إلا من خلال دعم دولي فعّال، وشراكات مبنية على احترام إرادة الشعب العراقي وحقه في تقرير مصيره بعيدًا عن أي تدخل خارجي.
A Message of Appreciation and a Call to Strengthen International Support for Iraq’s Sovereignty**
Iraq stands at a defining moment in its modern history—one that requires sincere international cooperation to support its stability and reinforce its sovereignty. In this context, the National Council for the Iraqi Opposition expresses its deep appreciation for the constructive role played by the United States, especially during the administration of the brave president, Mr. Donald Trump, in assisting the Iraqi people during critical periods marked by external interference and the rise of armed groups operating outside the authority of the state.
American support has been instrumental in helping Iraqis confront destabilizing forces and resist the pressures that sought to undermine the country’s national decision-making. This support has contributed to strengthening the Iraqi people’s ability to defend their homeland and protect the foundations of a sovereign state free from unlawful armed influence.
The National Council for the Iraqi Opposition believes that continued international cooperation—particularly with the United States—is essential for consolidating Iraq’s sovereignty and preventing any external power from imposing its will on the country. Iraq needs genuine partnerships that reinforce the project of a unified state and empower national institutions to uphold the rule of law and safeguard the rights of its citizens.
The Council affirms that the next phase requires expanding and deepening this cooperation in ways that serve Iraq’s long-term stability and restore its rightful place in the region and the world. It also emphasizes the importance of recognizing the Council’s national role as a framework that seeks to represent the aspirations of Iraqis for an independent, unified state free from the dominance of illegitimate armed actors.
Today, Iraq stands before a historic opportunity to reclaim its full sovereignty. Achieving this goal depends on effective international support and partnerships grounded in respect for the Iraqi people’s will and their right to determine their own future without external interference.
