Current Status and Activities of the National Council of Iraqi Opposition (NCIOIQ.ca)
The NCIOIQ.CA is actively working towards forming and declaring a government for salvation in exile with emergency powers for a specified period. This transitional government would represent Iraq’s provinces and components, managing the country until a competent national government is elected that can provide security, services, rebuild Iraq, achieve justice and social peace, protect human rights and resources, uphold wise religious principles, and respect religions with a moderate, authentic approach free from religious, sectarian, and ethnic extremism. The Council also aims to re-establish a national army and trained security agencies composed of Iraqi citizens to protect Iraq and its people from external ambitions and to confront terrorist militias and extremist gangs
